How to Store Peptides

Research use only. Not for human or animal consumption.

Storage requirements vary by peptide sequence, formulation, container, solvent, and intended analytical method. The product label, certificate of analysis, safety data sheet, and supplier instructions are the controlling sources for each item.

Unopened or lyophilized materials

  • Keep the container sealed, dry, protected from light, and within the product-specific temperature range.
  • Minimize temperature cycling and avoid repeated freeze–thaw events when frozen storage is specified.
  • Retain the original label and record the lot number, receipt date, storage location, and monitored temperature.

Reconstituted research materials

  • Use only the documented solvent, concentration, container, and storage condition.
  • Label the preparation date and applicable laboratory-defined review or discard date.
  • Limit unnecessary warming, light exposure, agitation, and repeated container access.
  • Do not assume a universal shelf life; stability depends on the specific material and preparation conditions.

Integrity checks

Quarantine material if the seal is damaged, the monitored storage condition was exceeded, the label is incomplete, or the appearance conflicts with the product documentation. Contact ClinoPep support with the product and lot information before further laboratory use.
